Hi, Hello, this is Sadie Thompson with much news to report! Today, after i was seated, a man boarded the car. There didn't seem to be anything strange about him, he looked white. After he had sat down, the conductor came on the car and told him to move. The conductor said that coloreds had to sit in the coloreds only section. The fellow, who i later found out was named Plessy, refused to get out of the section because he was 7/8 white. A detective came on board and arrested him. I think that that was ridiculous because he was only 1/8 black! I will keep you all updated on the trials of this man.
